Holiday Walkabout

The Holiday Walkabout is an Italian-style “passagiata”, a walk throughout the neighborhood with hot drinks and home-baked goodies, festive holiday lights/decor and conversations with your Cherryhill neighbors! Don’t miss the fabulous finale (Syracuse/Cranberry)!

To help keep our events as green as possible, please consider bringing a reusable beverage container!

2025: Sunday, December 7th | 6:00-8:00pm

Meet at Yorktown/Lime for savory bites and hot drinks; the walk starts at 6:30pm.

NEW THIS YEAR: Meet Santa at his workshop (1150 Kelsey Drive) and snap a holiday photo! We will be screening “Frozen” at the finale and hosting our annual “Best Holiday Cookie” contest (see below).

Please call Cindy Spencer at (408) 368-1645 to arrange a ride if you would like to participate in the event but not walk.

Photo opportunity with Santa

Starting as early as 6pm (for little ones), you may visit “Santa” at 1150 Kelsey Drive. We will have a bench/background setup so you can snap a photo of your kids sitting with Santa. The photo setup will most likely wrap up around 7:15pm so Santa (Kim) can become himself again for the finale.

Best Holiday Cookie Contest

Cookies do not need to be an original recipe. The winner is chosen by ballot, with each attendee casting one vote (Bakers may vote for themselves, FYI). The Baker with the largest number of votes will be declared the “Winner” and will host the trophy for the coming year (returning it for the next year’s contest).

Bakers, please drop off cookie entries at the Finale between 4-5pm, on Sunday, December 7th. If not labeled with allergens, please take a tent card and label your entry.

“Best Holiday Cookie” Contest Rules:

  1. One vote per person.
  2. Write your name at the top of the ballot.
  3. Write the Baker’s name in the middle of the ballot (Under Baker:)
  4. Drop the ballot in the jar (you may vote for yourself!).

Past Holiday Events

In 2023, Cherryhill debuted a different format (a single refreshment stop at DeAnza Park)–read about it here.
