Mobile Garden Boxes

Cherryhill mobile garden boxes

If you see one of our mobile garden boxes in our neighborhood, please help yourself to what’s growing!  These mini urban gardens are a collective effort within Cherryhill Neighborhood to promote community and healthy eating. They were conceived as part of our 2016 grant project: “Cherryhill Neighbors Grow Together”. The produce grown is freely available to anyone who wishes to partake in ad hoc harvesting throughout the year.

Our mobile gardens are typically rotated throughout the neighborhood. If you are interested in hosting one, please email communitygardens@cherryhillna.org for more information. Garden box hosts tend to the gardens (watering, weeding), and, if desired, recruit neighbors to share responsibilities during the shift. Garden box hosts agree to not use pesticides or other chemicals in the boxes.

Our mobile gardens are pesticide free; they were built as an Eagle Project by Cherryhill resident, Tate Besser, in October 2016.
