Come join us for a complementary functional mobility and therapy ball self massage workshop on Sunday 3/8, 4-5pm at the De Anza Park building. Light refreshments will be served.

You’ll learn movement sequences which help to develop and maintain mobility and joint health. In addition, you’ll learn how to use yoga therapy balls to massage deeply into your tension areas providing myofascial release and relaxation.

This class is suitable for beginners. This is workshop will be held from 4:00-5:00pm. Please bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing that allows for freedom of movement. We recommend you take your socks off. A towel is optional and might be useful to place under the knee when kneeling or under the head for added comfort.

Here is some information about our yoga instructor for this session:

Pim Kunakasem is a certified yoga teacher registered with the Yoga Alliance and has over 500 hours of training in yoga and a Mayo Clinic trained Health and Wellness coach. In addition, she a certified functional mobility specialist (FRC). Pim teaches public classes and private classes with clientele that includes Silicon Valley companies, high school varsity teams and athletes from the Silicon Valley Triathlon Club.

The yoga classes offered will be beginner friendly with opportunities for more experienced practitioners to explore and grow their practice. Classes will vary slightly from month to month, with varying levels of focus on bio-mechanics, breath work, mindfulness and meditation. In addition, yoga therapy balls will be used in some classes for self massage and trigger point therapy.
